Eyemouth to Arbriath was a challenging sail, as the auto-helm decided to break again. A new part has been ordered and Jen will bring this to the yacht on Friday. Having conquered ten hours on the helm in lively seas , Pete is now taking a few days well earned rest. Arbroath has excellent facilities and has welcomed our intrepid sailor with open arms.

The Aquavit snaps was back out as Pete bumped into a Norwegian local on his travels. Svea helped Pete to test out the local ales and haunts across town. Arbroath Smokies are a must. They are made from haddock, hot smoked over hardwood. The fish is then dried, salted, tied in pairs and smoked again in a smoking pit - delicious.

The journey will continue on Friday morning.
