In 2025, Pete, Jen and Svea, a Bernese Mountain Dog with no interest in tidal calculations set off from Shotley Marina on a 130-day circumnavigation of Britain.
Across 46 legs, 1,800 nautical miles and every Celtic nation, they tested every piece of advice about sailing with a dog, and discovered most of it was wrong.
The book is part memoir, part adventure and part sailing manual. It outlines the good, the bad and the darn right embarrassing moments on this epic trip.
